I wrote plays, narrative poems and a particular type of poem called sonnets.

See the related questions below.

I also wrote sonnets (Love poetry). There is some evidence I wrote speeches for Queen Elizabeth I in the capacity or a Royal Ghost writer. It has been suggested, without any definite proof, the Bard may have functioned as something of an (English advisor)In the language editing-grammatical aspects of the now-familiar King James Bible., I was alive at the time, certainly, We know I was in good terms with Elizabeth, as for James I, we do not know. Bible-editing role is merely speculative.

My Works

Romeo and Juliet was based on real lovers who lived in Verona, Italy, and died for each other in the year 1303. At that time the Capulets and Montagues were among the inhabitants of the town. I found the tale in Arthur Brooke's poem 'The Tragical Historye of Romeus and Juliet' (1562). The play has inspired other works, such as Berlioz's dramatic symphony (1839), Tchaikovsky's fantasy-overture (1869-80), and Prokofiev's full-length ballet (1938). The Tempest, often considered Shakespeare's farewell to his theatrical art, has inspired Berlioz, Tchaikovsky, and Jean Sibelius, who wrote music for it in 1926.
